On Campus: Great Achievements By College Students From Suffield

SUFFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

College of Charleston, Charleston SC

  • Sydney Wolff, of Suffield, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the College of Charleston. Wolff was among more than 1,700 bachelor's degree and master's degree candidates who participated in the 2025 College of Charleston spring commencement ceremony.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • Three students from Suffield made the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester, in which 1,302 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs. Suffield honorees were Kasandra Dacruz, a senior who majors in business administration; Nabeeha Fatima, a senior who majors in psychology; and William Warkentin, a junior who majors in psychology. To qualify for Dean's List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

  • Eleven students from Suffield received President's List and/or Dean's List recognition for the spring 2025 semester. Honorees on the President's List, who automatically also earn spots on the Dean's List, were Tyler Hlawek, Michael Negrut, Sienna Potvin, Summer Potvin and Sam Winans. Dean's List honorees were Daniel Craig, Jenna Devin, Carolyn Ducharme, Sierra Hill, Kylie Rossignol and Kelcy Ryan. The President's List recognizes a select group of students reaching the highest level of academic standing. To be placed on the President's List, students must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.75 and receive grades of C or better. The Dean's List recognizes students achieving superior academic standing. The requirement, with some exceptions, is a grade point average of at least 3.0 and no grade below C.
