Celebrate National Trails Day on June 1 in Suffield

Reconnect with nature in Suffield with a nature walk on Metacomet Ridge Trail this National Trails Day!

Suffield will be marking the national event with a walk starting at 1 p.m. on June 1, according to the Connecticut Forest and Parks Association pamphlet.

Michael Stanley and Liz Stanley will lead participants on the 2-mile walk which will include sightseeing for wildflowers, birds, interesting trees and cabins from the nineteenth-century.

A total of 152 Connecticut towns will be celebrating National Trails Day on June 1 and 2, according to the Connecticut Forest & Park Association.
