DAR Hosts Genealogical Workshop in Suffield

Suffield's Daughters of the American Revolution chapter is sponsoring a genealogical workshop for both first-time and experienced researchers.

Suffield's Sibbil Dwight Kent chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will sponsor a workshop to assist individuals starting a genealogical search or in continuing to gather information about their ancestry.

The workshop will be held in the training room of the , located at 205 Bridge Street, on Saturday, March 31 at 10 a.m. The workshop is open to the public. Application forms will be available for anyone interested in joining the DAR and special assistance will be provided for the process.

Jolene Mullen, who has been a professional genealogist for over twenty years, will conduct the program and will provide personal assistance for participants. She is the national field genealogist for The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Connecticut state chairperson for volunteer genealogists.

This is a hands-on workshop, so bring your laptops and recording devices. Desks are available for your convenience and the facility has wireless internet access.
