Update: Man Pulled from Congamond Lakes

This is third time in four months emergency crews from Suffield and Southwick, MA, have been called to the lake.

The body of a Massachusetts man was pulled from Middle Pond Saturday evening after the man reportedly dove into the water to help his daughter, according to multiple news outlets.

According to The Republican of Springfield, MA, the 44-year-old Chicopee, MA, man went into the water after to rescue his 8-year-old daughter after she fell out of a boat they were riding on when the vessel made a sharp turn.

Emergency personnel are searching for a man missing in one of the Congamond Lakes, after his daughter was pulled from the water and taken to the hospital, according to reports on NBC Connecticut.

The Suffield Fire Department is assisting in the search, which is being overseen by fire and police officials from the Southwick, MA, according to the NBC Connecticut account.

This is the third time in four months that emergency crews have been called to the lake for a rescue or recovery mission.

The first incident in June ended tragically when police divers found the body of deceased.
