Former Probate Judge, Town Attorney to Run for First Selectman
Ed McAnaney announced his candidacy at the Suffield Republican Town Committee meeting on May 25.

Ed McAnaney, former Suffield probate judge and town attorney, has announced his intention to run for First Selectman. McAnaney made the announcement at the Republican Town Committee meeting on May 25.
A press release from McAnaney’s media coordinator said he plans to focus on leadership and tax concerns during his campaign. McAnaney said property tax rates have continued to rise “without any appreciable increase in services or benefit to the town.”
The election is scheduled for November 10. Official endorsements from town political parties happen in July, so the field of candidates is still forming.
