‘He Has Taken A Love For Sports Photography’: Suffield Star Student

SUFFIELD, CT — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from a Suffield High School teacher who nominated a student named Joseph.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Joe has taken a love for sports photography and video production. Joe takes time out of his schedule to attend as many Suffield High School games and Suffield Middle School games to take action shots of the players. He then creates video clips and still photo montages to music and shares them via social media so his friends can view them. Joe was also asked by the varsity basketball coach to travel with the varsity team so he can record and document their postseason journey this past winter. Some of these photos and videos are being used so his classmates can be recruited for colleges!! All this is done FOR FREE!!!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

He is a very talented and caring young man, who is sharing his love for sports photography and video production with his classmates.
