Connecticut residents are paying an average of $3.91 per gallon of gas Thursday, 35 cents more than the national per-gallon average of $3.58. Connecticut gas prices remain the second highest in the nation. Hawaii’s $4.09 average per-gallon price is the country’s highest.
The national per-gallon average rose 1 cent since Tuesday, Aug. 23. The Connecticut state average fell 1 cent in the same period, according to AAA.
