High and Low Fuel Prices for July 6

Gas prices in the north central Connecticut are in line with AAA’s state average of $3.91 per gallon, with appreciably lower prices in some towns.

Prices are down slightly from June’s state average of $4.06 per gallon. They are more than a dollar higher than July 2010’s state average of $2.87 per gallon.

Prices in the region and in the state are significantly higher than the national average of $3.57 per gallon. South Carolina has the cheapest average state gas price in the country at $3.30 per gallon.

Take a look at the highest and lowest gas prices in the area, as well as the lowest prices in bordering Massachusetts towns. All prices are for regular unleaded gasoline, reported to gasbuddy.com over the past two days. Prices may vary.
