New Athletic Hall Of Fame Class Announced In Suffield

SUFFIELD, CT — Nine outstanding athletes and a state championship team will be feted as the Suffield Athletic Hall of Fame's Class of 2024.

The Class of 2024 consists of Albert Ford, Dan Hinckley, Natalie Mazzetta, Jim Modzelesky, Dee Dee Presser, Lindsay Small, Emily Sweeney, Megan Sweeney, Travis Tucker and the 1978 Class M champion boys soccer team from Suffield High School.

An induction ceremony and dinner is scheduled for the Oak Ridge Golf Club in Feeding Hills, Mass. on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. For additional information and to purchase tickets for this event, click here.

A brief look at the Class of 2024:

• Albert Ford – 3-sport athlete, played basketball at Central Connecticut State College
• Dan Hinckley – 3-sport athlete, All-State ice hockey player
• Natalie Mazzetta – All-American swimmer, set school records at Syracuse University
• Jim Modzelesky – 3-sport athlete, golf professional
• Dee Dee Presser – 3-sport athlete, All-State softball player
• Lindsay Small – All-New England soccer player, played Div. I at University of South Carolina
• Emily Sweeney – U.S. Olympian in luge
• Megan Sweeney – U.S. Olympian in luge
• Travis Tucker – All-State ice hockey player, played at Div. I UMass-Lowell and five years professionally including 28 games in American Hockey League
• 1978 Suffield High School boys soccer team, won Class M state championship 1-0 over RHAM
