• Winter Holiday Blood Drive Planned In Suffield (patch.com) — Suffield residents are invited to help meet a critical seasonal need by donating at the Winter Holiday Blood Drive on Monday, December 29, at Second Baptist Church on Main Street. Supported by the Suffield Lions Club and hosted by the American Red Cross, the drive runs from noon to 5 p.m., with appointments encouraged and limited walk-ins possible.
   

• Fall River native with NFL dreams contributing to Villanova squad headed to FCS Championship Semifinals (fallriverreporter.com) — A former B.M.C. Durfee High School football standout who finished his prep career at Suffield Academy in Connecticut is now a key linebacker for Villanova’s FCS playoff run. Jason Hall’s strong play helped the Wildcats reach the national semifinals, where they’ll host Illinois State with a championship berth and his NFL dreams on the line.
