OMG PD: Marijuana Charges For Basketball Player, Coach
A UConn basketball player was among the arrests made in Storrs during Spring Weekend.

The case: Jamal A. Coombs-McDaniel, 21, of 64 Willmington Ave., Boston, MA, was arrested by University of Connecticut police at 18 Jonathan Way in Storrs and .
OMG PD twist: Coombs-McDaniel was part of the UConn Huskies men's basketball team that won the NCAA national championship on April 4.
The case: At 8:35 p.m. on Sunday, Timothy Flint, 25, of 31 Village Street, Vernon was stopped for a rear light violation on his vehicle, police said.

Police said Flint was found with suspected marijuana. In addition to the tail light violation, he was , the use of drug paraphernalia and possessing drugs near a school, police said. Flint had a $2,500 bond assigned and is due in court April 26.

The case: Police have fined 10 people for creating a public disturbance at a local condominium complex. On Sunday, April 10 at 1:19 a.m., police went to 655 Talcottville Road to investigate a report that an assault had taken place involving baseball bats, according to a news release. The address is that of the Ryefield condominium complex.
Upon arrival, police discovered that 10 people were involved in a brawl and and that people had been assaulted, according to the news release.
