The sycamore located in front of Suffield Academy's Brewster Hall was deemed a safety hazard by Suffield Tree Warden Ron Vidal and removed on Tuesday, May 24. Workers, observers and passers-by were all surprised to see the massive tree was mostly hollow due to the cumulative effects of water passing through the tree's body. Get an idea of the scale of the project with these photos, graciously submitted by an observer who wished to remain anonymous.
