ED MCANANEY, GOP candidate for first selectman
Ed is a longtime Suffield Resident. He has practiced law with McAnaney & McAnaney in Suffield Village for over 20 years and was honored to serve as the Suffield Town Attorney for 16 years until late 2009. In addition, Ed served as our Probate Judge for 11 years until January of this year.
As the former Town Attorney, Ed is intimately familiar with the varied and complex issues facing our Town and has facilitated complicated transactions between local businesses and the Town. Ed has extensive military experience. He is a retired US Navy Captain who served in the Navy for over 27 years. Prior to his retirement, he led Naval Coastal Warfare Squadron TWO FIVE, deployed to Kuwait, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates from July 2004 through May 2005.

His Squadron, comprised of over 500 sailors, provided anti-terrorism force protection to American and Coalition shipping, oil facilities and the commercial and military ports of Kuwait. In addition to his practice of law, Ed is a trustee of the Railroad Museum of New England in Thomaston, CT and was appointed by the Governor to two state boards, the CT Medical Examining Board and the CT Public Transportation Commission.
Ed’s skills, knowledge of the Town of Suffield and military roles provide him with a breadth of experience that will prove invaluable in his role as First Selectman.

TIM REYNOLDS, GOP candidate for board of selectmen (incumbent)
Tim has been a resident of Suffield for 27 years. He has been a member of the Board of Selectmen since 2005.
Prior to serving on the Board of Selectmen, Tim served six years on the Zoning and Planning Commission. Tim is a Certified Public Accountant and a partner in the firm of Viola, Chrabascz, Reynolds and Co., LLP based in Enfield.
He has been with the firm for over thirty years. He has been a member of the Enfield Rotary Club with senior active status.
Tim is also the treasurer of the Enfield Rotary Memorial Scholarship Foundation and for the past twelve years has been a member of the Suffield Flag Raising Committee, which puts the flags up on Main Street in Suffield for the patriotic holidays.
Tim received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is a member of Sacred Heart Church. Tim lives on Quail Run Road with his son
Christopher and daughter Erin.
JOANNE SULLIVAN, GOP candidate for board of selectmen (incumbent)
Joanne hopes to continue her common sense approach to government through re-election to the Board of Selectmen.
She has also served the Town of Suffield for 11 years on the Board of Finance. Joanne is a Suffield native with a lifetime of community service. Her resume includes charter membership in Suffield Chamber of Commerce, membership in Suffield Rotary Club, Suffield Woman's Club and countless youth activities. She was previously a secretary to the First Selectman and Connecticut State Republican House Leaders.
Joanne was the owner of Chestnut Oak Associates for 21 years and has been a realtor for over 35 years. She and her husband Dan raised their five sons on North Grand Street, where they still reside.
