Suffield's Girl Scouts celebrated the 100th anniversary of girls' scouting on Monday night at Suffield Academy's Tisch Field House. Scouts earned the Girl Scouts of Connecticut 100th anniversary patch, collected Easter candy and baskets for charity and brought pages they made for a Suffield Girl Scouts scrapbook. The scouts also held a promise circle at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, synchronized with other celebrations throughout the state.  State Rep. Elaine O'Brien was also in attendance, sharing in the celebration with the scouts.
