Suffield Athletes Win State Titles At CIAC Indoor Track Championships

NEW HAVEN, CT — A pair of field athletes from Suffield High School brought home state titles for the Wildcats at the CIAC Class M indoor track and field championships Thursday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.

Senior Hayli Graham leaped over the bar at 5 feet, 2 inches to win the high jump competition, and senior Lourdes Lawson claimed the shot put crown with a heave of 37 feet, 9.5 inches.

The Wildcats compiled 26 points to tie for seventh of 29 teams which scored points. Hillhouse had 45 points to win the team championship for the third straight year.
