Suffield Schools Open Tuesday, Bus Routes Altered

The Suffield publicsSchools will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 8. Please note that due to wire and tree issues the busses will not be able to provide normal pickups or drop-offs in the following locations until power is restored and/or tree branches are trimmed:

• Griffin Road and surrounding area – please bring your children to the intersection of Copperhill Road and Griffin Road. Please plan to meet the bus at the same location at the end of the day.

• Overhill Road and surrounding area – please bring your children to the intersection of Catherine and Overhill. The bus will enter Overhill and proceed onto Catherine and pick up the students as it comes out of Catherine before turning back onto Overhill. Please plan to meet the bus at the same location at the end of the day.

• Suffield Street, west of Austin – please bring your children to the intersection of Suffield and Austin. Please plan to  meet the bus at the same location at the end of the day.

We anticipate that most of the busses will be running on time, but please understand that road conditions in some areas may cause slight delays.

Please remind your children that downed power lines may be live and are not to be touched.
