Suffield/Windsor Locks Grappler Captures CIAC Divisional Championship

KILLINGLY, CT — A grappler from Windsor Locks High School turned in a championship performance at the CIAC Class S divisional wrestling meet Saturday at Killingly High School.

Peter Annis scored a 19-4 technical fall over John Bean of Stafford to capture the 106-lb. title. Three other members of the Suffield/Windsor Locks co-op program were placewinners, including a runner-up placement by Naser Saleh at 150 lbs., enabling the squad to place eighth among 35 teams with 115.5 points.

The State Open is scheduled for Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.
