SUFFIELD , CT — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Charlene of Suffield, who nominated her daughter Olivia.

How do you know the star local student? She is my daughter

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Olivia is a highly intelligent, beautiful, kind, loving and truly amazing individual. Her greatest quality, which encompasses her entire being, is one she's probably not even aware of because it comes so naturally to her. She does hundreds of kind things - both big and small - a day that she herself doesn't even have an appreciation of. She makes the best of and balances everything perfectly, she is uplifting, positive, welcoming and friendly. She wears many hats, all with style and grace. In her role as a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, volunteer, co-worker, friend, dancer and student, she is a leader of greatness. She herself is her greatest quality.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Liv is the essence of perfection, the epitome of our legacy.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Olivia.
