East Haddam's iconic 1794 Meetinghouse will soon be looking brighter!

East Haddam’s iconic 1794 Meetinghouse is in the prep stages for painting where it is needed most, on the south side, the front façade and the steeple of First Church of Christ Congregational.
With grant assistance from Preservation Connecticut, the project will also include reglazing and painting the windows on those elevations. The grant also helped to pay for the recent restoration of the steeple windows and louvers.
Heritage Painting and Restoration LLC of Hadlyme is doing the work, scheduled to be completed in July.
