East Haddam 7-Eleven Robbery Suspect Sought: State Police

The convenience store was robbed at knifepoint early Tuesday morning, according to state police.

EAST HADDAM, CT — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for robbing a local 7-Eleven gas station at knifepoint early Tuesday.

The suspect entered the 4 Falls Rd. business around 1 a.m., displayed a 10-inch fixed-blade knife, and demanded money from the store clerk, police said.

During the confrontation, the suspect and clerk got into a brief altercation, and then the robber fled the scene with 10 packs of Newport cigarettes, according to police.

The robber was last seen riding a blue minibike northbound on Route 149.

The suspect is described as a fair-skinned male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a heavy build, and speaking with a Hispanic dialect.

During the robbery, he wore a black hoodie, gray pants, black boots, green gloves, and a blue backpack. He was wearing a black motorcycle helmet marked with a green biohazard symbol.
