🌱Fine Arts Show Is Back + Employment Opportunities Abound

Here are the top three stories in The Haddams-Killingworth today:

1. The Haddam-Killingworth Intermediate and Middle School will host their Applied Academics and Fine Arts (AAFA) Show Thursday, May 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. For the past two years this annual event has been only virtual due to the pandemic, but now it's back as an in-person venue. The community is welcome back to share in the successes of the student showcased work in art, music, technology Education, Health, Physical Education, Foods, Life Skills, LEAP and Foreign Language classes, as well as a Scholastic Book Fair. In addition, there will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive hosted by the Middle School students and staff in the HKIMS Auditorium from 1 - 6 p.m. Come out and enjoy the fantastic artwork and projects that the students have created, enjoy live performances from the jazz band and chorus, and help the community by donating blood at the blood drive! 2. While unemployment remains high following the pandemic, don't let that deter you. Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work, opportunities are still out there. 3. Brainerd Library will be holding the 4th annual Agricultural Day on Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a bevy of fun activities including author readings, farm animals, a nature center mobile unit and more. Come celebrate the day and support the library. (Press Release Desk)
