• Haddam Scouts Can and Bottle Collection January 10th (hk-now.com) — Haddam BSA Troops 44B and 44G are asking residents to drop off returnable cans and bottles at the Higganum Community Center on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds support local scouts’ trips and campouts, and families from Haddam, East Haddam, Killingworth, and nearby towns are invited to donate or learn about joining the Tuesday night meetings at the Haddam church campus.
   

• Haddam Killingworth High School's annual holiday telethon raises thousands for local organization (nbcconnecticut.com) — Students at Haddam Killingworth High School just wrapped up their annual, student-run “Holiday Show” telethon, raising over $17,000 and still collecting donations through January 5, 2026. This year’s funds support Love from Lincoln, Hope from Hailey, a nonprofit founded by HK graduates to help families navigating pediatric heart transplants, highlighting the strong Haddam–Killingworth community connection.
