- Expanding access to Burnham Brook Preserve, the Community Foundation of Middlesex County (CFMC) and The Nature Conservancy in Connecticut (TNC) have announced a new pilot project which includes a three-year plan. With CFMC grant awards the TNC will manage the preserve ensuring terrestrial resilience to climate change, conduct outreach through a volunteer program and create greater awareness and access throughout Middlesex County and the towns of the lower Connecticut River. - Roadway crashes are up a reported 60% in Connecticut, according to an NBC Connecticut article. Department of Transportation Commissioner Joseph J.
