Here are the top three stories today in The Haddams-Killingworth:

  1. Congratulations to the Haddam Killingworth High School Golf Team which finished in fourth place at the Shoreline Conference Championship, which was held Tuesday, May 24 at Stanley Golf Course in New Britain. The team's score was 350. (HK Now)
  2. The contract for the Haddam Center Sidewalks project has been awarded to Costa and Sons of Windsor, Connecticut. The project, which will start soon, includes the removal and replacement of the sidewalks on the east side of Route 154, from the old jail to the cemetery. Work is permitted to be in process from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plan accordingly! (HK Now)
  3. Old Saybrook police officer Tyler Schultz will serve a 90-day suspension due to his alleged involvement in a bar fight at Scotch Plains Tavern in Essex. According to The New London Day, Officer Schulz, has been with the Old Saybrook police department for the past seven years. He was charged in March with second-degree breach of peace. Reportedly, Schulz's union attorney said the criminal case was nulled, meaning it was not prosecuted. (Patch)
