KILLINGWORTH, CT — On Nov. 7, Killingworth residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions. Contested races include: the town council and school board.

Polls in Connecticut are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Connecticut also allows for Election Day registration at designated centers in each town. People must be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote using Election Day registration. To receive your absentee ballot, complete and sign an application and return it to your Town Clerk, or you can request an absentee ballot online.

First Selectman

The Democratic candidate is Eric Couture and the Republican candidate is Amy Roberts-Perry and the Killingworth Conservative Party candidate is John A. Samperi.

Selectman

The Democratic candidates are Joel D'Angelo and Danyyil Spichko. The Killingworth Conservative Party candidates are Cindy L. Adametz and Danyyil Spichko.

Town Treasurer

The lone candidate is Donna Dupuis, who is endorsed by both political parties.

Tax Collector

The lone candidate is Michele Nuhn, who is endorsed by both political parties.

Board of Finance

The Democratic candidates are William Kosturko and Marcel Couture, the Republican candidates are Michael Kovacs and Andrew J. O'Neill, and the Killingworth Conservative Party candidates are David Miller and John Psenicnik.

Board of Assessment Appeals

The lone candidate is Carolyn Anderson, a Democrat.

Planning and Zoning Commission

The Democratic candidates are Thomas Hogarty, Michael Sarlin and Paul D. McGuinness and the Republican candidate is Michael Drew.

Planning and Zoning Alternate

The Democratic candidate is Alec Martin and the Republican candidate is Julie A. Phelps.

Zoning Board of Appeals

The Democratic candidates are Mark McCormick and Benjamin Charney and the Republican candidate is Cheryl Fine.

Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate

The lone candidate is William Joyce, who is a Democrat.

Fire Commission

The Democratic candidate is Michael Reimers and the Republican candidate is Donald Offner.

Regional Board of Education

The Democratic candidates are: Nelson Rivera, Jennifer Voegtli and Suzanne Sack and the Republican candidates include: S. Derek Phelps, Heather Scholfield and Arthur C. Wrotnowski.
