Welcome back to the Middletown campus for Enroll in a Day—a one-stop, in-person fall semester registration event this Saturday—on August 21. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet with an advisor, finalize class schedule, and register for the fall semester. Classes begin August 26. Student services, financial aid, and business offices representatives are available and the MxCC Bookstore will be open. Beginning in the fall, all students who participate in on-campus activities are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More info.

Fall Educational Programs for Seniors
MxCC is proud to sponsor the Middlesex Institute for Lifelong Education (MILE) and Meriden's Castle Craig Adult Learning Center (CCALC). Both will serve older and retired adults with new programming this fall. CCALC's first in-person event is on September 13 with Connecticut Troubadour Tom Callinan (photo) at the Meriden Senior Center. Email ccalcmeriden@gmail.com to register. Alumni Profile: Armed with Education
Nicholas Sherwood, MxCC 2016, is the Deputy Chief-Professional Standards at the Meriden Police Department. “Since my childhood, I always wanted to serve as a police officer. It has been a calling for me. I enjoy serving in a profession where I can help others,” he said. After serving in the military and then with the Hartford Police Department, Deputy Chief Sherwood enrolled in the criminal justice program at MxCC while training as a sergeant in Meriden. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Post University and is currently pursuing a master's degree from Albertus Magnus College. Read more about Deputy Chief Sherwood.
MxCC Foundation Receives $10,000 Grant for Vet Tech Program
The Middlesex Community College Foundation was awarded a $10,000 grant from the John T. and Jane A. Wiederhold Foundation, a fund administered by the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation. The grant will support scholarships for students enrolled in the veterinary technology program in the coming year.

Register for Fall and Get Vaccine in Meriden
Platt High School, 220 Coe Ave. in Meriden, will host a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic during the MxCC@Platt fall registration event on August 24 from 3 to 7 p.m. Each person vaccinated here will receive a $20 Stop & Shop gift card.
