Obituary: Beverly (Atkinson) Donahue, 89, of Higganum

Beverly (Atkinson) Donahue, 89, wife of the late Thomas Donahue, formerly of Spencer Road in Higganum, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Water’s Edge Health Care Center in Middletown.

Beverly was born March 17, 1927 in Woodbury, Vermont, the daughter of the late Morton and Nora (Bushey) Atkinson. Prior to her retirement, she was a cafeteria worker at Regional School District 17.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth Donahue, Gary Donahue and Patricia Donahue, all of Higganum, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Thomas, Jr. two brothers Richard Atkinson, Donald Atkinson, two sisters, Margaret Basiel, and June Freeman.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 6 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown, CT. Burial will be private.
