Obituary: Connor Meaney Young, 16, of East Haddam
Connor, a passionate landscaper and Hale Ray High School student, showed his love through acts of kindness and protected those he held dear.
EAST HADDAM, CT - (From Biega Funeral Home) Connor Meaney Young, 16, of East Haddam, beloved son of Chris Ann Meaney and Ian Young, passed Wednesday November 3, 2021.
Connor was a caretaker at heart. He showed his love through acts of kindness and protecting those he held dear. Connor was a junior at Hale Ray High School.
He was the co-owner of C&M Lawn and Landscaping LLC.
Connor had an eye and a passion for landscaping, and it showed in every job he did.
He would say that he found peace when behind the lawn mower and deep satisfaction in creating perfect lines for his customers.
Connor’s ability to connect with people young and old was one of his many gifts.
Besides his parents, Connor is survived by his loving sister, Evelynne Young, maternal grandmother, Janet V. Meaney, paternal grandparents, Molly Young and Mert Little, Aunts, Colleen L. Meaney, Anna Marie Meaney, Uncle Josh Young, an incredible network of cousins and friends, and Connor’s “Bestie Boy” his dog Thor.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday November 10 at 3 p.m. at Saint Bridget of Kildare Church 75 Moodus Leesville Road, Moodus, with reception to follow on-site.
The Connor Meaney Young Memorial Foundation has been set up to help support other young aspiring entrepreneurs like Connor.
More than flowers, the family wishes to pay Connor’s spirit forward through this fund to support other industrious young people.
