Obituary: Richard A. Augustine, 77, of Killingworth
Richard, a master woodworker, avid gardener and passionate car enthusiast, worked many years as a mechanical designer.

KILLINGWORTH, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Richard A. Augustine, 77, of Killingworth, formerly of Wallingford, passed away January 2, 2022 at Middlesex Hospital.
He was born in Meriden on May 20, 1944, a son of the late Walter and Gladys (Blachowicz) Augustine.
He worked for Hall Industries in Branford and Davis Stirling Electric in Connecticut as a mechanical designer for many years.
He was a master woodworker and loved gardening, especially watching his vegetables grow from seed. He enjoyed boating and had a passion for vintage cars.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Augustine and his wife, Sandra of Wallingford; his sisters, Roseanne Paulauskas of Boise, Idaho and Janet Augustine of Port Charlotte, Florida; his nieces and nephews, Matthew Augustine, Adam Augustine and his wife, Michelle, Christina Russell and her husband, Todd, Steven Augustine and his wife, Casandra, Bryan Augustine and his wife, Rei, Amanda Kitts and her husband, Josh, and Amy Hunt; and several great nieces and nephews.
His family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 9 am until 10:30 am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at SS’s Peter and Paul Church, 139 North Orchard Street in Wallingford.
Face masks are required at all services. Interment will be at SS’s Peter and Paul Cemetery in Wallingford.
