Here are the top three stories today in The Haddams-Killingworth:

  1. According to a HK Now article, "Olivia Wettemann, daughter of Bruce and Heather Wettemann of Killingworth, is ranked ninth in the class of 2022. She has taken on a difficult schedule throughout her time in high school that will undoubtedly prepare her well for the collegiate stage. Outside of the classroom, Olivia volunteers her time with a gym in Middletown that aims to support at-risk kids. Next year, Olivia plans to attend Eastern Connecticut State University and major in psychology. (HK Now)
  2. Extreme Terrain's Clean Trail Grant, helped the East Haddam Land Trust purchase much needed equipment to maintain the trails at all of the preserves. Circular saw blades, a hand saw, and a chain saw bar were purchased with the grant money to aid the stewardship team in clearing new trails for public use. Grant funding helps The East Haddam Land Trust non-profit achieve its mission of preserving and protecting land in perpetuity for the public interest." (East Haddam Land Trust via Facebook)
