🌱 Three Accidents In Two Days + Are You Looking For A New Job?

Here are the top three stories in The Haddams-Killingworth today:

  1. It's been a busy couple of days for the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company that responded to three car accidents in two days. One was on Cedar Lake Road in Haddam on May 28. The vehicle’s operator swerved off the road, went into the woods, and struck a tree. Reportedly, the driver was evaluated on scene by EMS personnel and transferred to Middlesex Hospital with minor injuries. On May 29, there was a two-car accident at the intersection of Killingworth Road and Brault Hill Road. Reportedly, one patient was transported to Middlesex Hospital with minor injuries. Also on May 29 on Bridge Road, across from Camp Bethel Road an accident took place stopping traffic on Bridge Road and at the East Haddam Swing Bridge. Reportedly a driver, heading east-bound, struck a parked vehicle, which struck another vehicle, leading to a three-car accident. Five people involved in the accident were evaluated on scene by EMS personnel and refused additional medical treatment.   3. Connecticut residents are poised to join thousands of others from all over the country on June 18, for the Mass Poor Peoples and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly “March on Washington DC and to the Polls,” led by Rev. Dr. William Barber. Reportedly The New Haven Peoples Center is organizing a charter bus to attend the march in the nation’s capitol. Organizational partners for the march include over 200 union, faith, peace and environmental justice groups. (Par-newhaven.org)
