Weekend Fire Damages East Haddam Residence

EAST HADDAM, CT — A two-story home suffered extensive damage in a Saturday night blaze, according to fire officials.

The East Haddam Fire Department was dispatched to the house on Mt. Parnassus Road Saturday around 7:28 p.m.

All of the house’s occupants were able to make it out without injury, fire officials said, in a Facebook post.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames extending from the chimney through the house’s roof.

The East Haddam fire marshal and State Fire Marshal’s office are investigating the cause of the fire.
