Local student band, Woodstock, recently performed at the Haddam-Killingworth Middle School's Spring Fling Dance, which was sponsored by the HKMS Student Council.  Band members include students at HKMS and The Country Day School who live in Higganum and Killingworth and range in age from 12-14 years old.  The band kicked off an hour-long set in the school's courtyard at 6:30 PM to open the event, featuring original compositions and cover music by Pink Floyd, Nirvana, and The Ramones among others.  Parents and students sat on the steps of the Courtyard to hear the concert and when it came time at 7 PM, students in seventh and eighth grade entered the Spring Fling Dance held in the cafeteria.
