East Lyme Police Chief Arrested On Additional Charges: State Police

East Lyme Police Chief Michael Finkelstein, previously arrested in a domestic case, is facing new charges, state police said.

EAST LYME, CT — East Lyme Police Chief Michael Finkelstein is facing additional charges after he was arrested on two warrants, state police said.

Finkelstein was charged with violation of a protective order and making a false statement.

In another arrest warrant, he was charged with disorderly conduct in connection to a June 2023 incident.

Finkelstein was served with the warrants Monday. He was processed at Middletown Superior Court and was turned over to the custody of the judicial marshals for same-day arraignment.

He was previously placed on administrative leave after he was charged in a domestic violence case. In that case, he was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree breach of peace.
