East Lyme Police Conduct Search and Seizure Operation

A 40-year-old East Lyme man was arrested after police said they seized marijuana from his Chesterfield Road residence.

In the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 20, the East Lyme Police Department, with assistance from NL Adult Probation, the Waterford/East Lyme Animal Control Officer and the Connecticut State Police executed a search and seizure warrant at 51 Chesterfield Rd.

According to police, Kevin Birch, 40, of the above address, was charged with the following:

  • Possession of less than 4 ounces of Marijuana
  • Possession of Marijuana within 1,500 ft. of a school
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Birch was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is schedule to appear at New London Superior Court on Dec. 1.
