East Lyme Warns Residents On Elevated Sodium Levels
The town said that road salt is to blame for higher levels of sodium in water.

EAST LYME, CT — The town of East Lyme is warning residents on low-sodium diets after sodium levels in water jumped, according to WTNH News-8. Officials said that road salt is to blame for the higher levels of sodium.
A sodium level of 28 milligrams per liter triggers a warning; East Lyme's public wells are at more than 40 milligrams per liter.
