EAST LYME, CT — A woman who was hit and killed by an Amtrak train on Saturday has been identified as local resident Fanie Gore, 63.

She was trespassing on the tracks off Columbus Avenue in Niantic on Saturday afternoon when she was hit by the train, according to The Day of New London.

The train was traveling from Boston to Washington, D.C.

Officials said there were no reported injuries to the 389 passengers or crew members on board, according to WFSB 3-TV.

There were long delays for travelers following the accident.
