ID Of Victim In Fatal East Lyme Crash Released
An 80-year-old East Lyme man died in a single-car rollover accident last week, according to a report.

EAST LYME, CT — The man who died in a recent East Lyme crash has been identified.
Julian Vitali, 80, of East Lyme, died after his car rolled over on Chesterfield Road on Friday, Hearst Connecticut Media reported.
Vitali was the only victim, and no one else was involved in the accident.

The crash is still under investigation, and police are awaiting the cause and manner of Vitali's death from the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, according to Hearst.
The accident involved a vehicle rolling over with the driver still fastened with his seatbelt in the driver's seat, according to WTNH News-8. Emergency crews cut the belt and attempted life-saving measures before he was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.

Vitali was later declared dead.
