Lyme To Vote On Budget And Hear a Progress Report on Town Campus Construction
Lyme's Annual Town Meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday at Lyme Consolidated School. A public meeting on the town's plan to renovate the Town Hall and build a new library will follow.

The Town of Lyme will hold its Annual Town Meeting on Monday, May 20 to vote on the proposed $12.97 million budget for fiscal year 2013-2014. First Selectman Ralph Eno said that the budget as proposed would increase the mill rate by half a mill. That's "a big deal for Lyme," Eno said.
Here's the general budget summary and how it compares to previous fiscal years. You'll find the full budget online here.

The Lyme Town Campus Building Committee has, through a combination of donations and grants, raised about $1 million of the total cost. The town of Lyme will bond the remaining cost of the project.
Lyme's Town Campus Building Committee will be holding a public meeting immediately following the Annual Town Meeting, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Lyme Consolidated School. Groundbreaking for the project is tentatively scheduled for sometime in July.
Committee Chair Dan Hagan will summarize the project's progress to date and explain how the construction is likely to affect day-to-day life in Lyme. There will be time for questions after the presentation.
