Mother's Day Weekend Weather Forecast for Lyme-Area
The weekend forecast calls for rain, thunderstorms and fog. A coastal flood statement was issued for the area.

Rain was a nearly constant presence throughout the week and will be here over the weekend too. On Mother's Day, the National Weather Service forecast calls for rain in the morning. The sun may make an appearance in the afternoon.
A coastal flood statement is in effect for the area, beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, May 6, until 2 a.m. Saturday, May 7. Minor coastal flooding is possible during the time of high tide.

- Friday, May 6: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm with temps barely reaching 50 degrees. It will also feel colder due to wind, with gusts up to 20 MPH possible.
- Friday evening: Showers and fog in southern Connecticut while northern Connecticut may see a thunderstorm and periods of heavy rain and fog overnight.
- Saturday: Showers and fog early in southern Connecticut but the rain may not end until the mid-afternoon in northern Connecticut. After the rain ends, it will remain mostly cloudy, with temps near 60 degrees.
- Saturday night: More showers possible with a low around 50 degrees.
- Mother’s Day: Showers early possibly. The sun may appear in the afternoon and the temperature will hover around 60 degrees.
Sunny skies will greet us on Monday and Tuesday, with temps reaching into the mid-60s. More rain is forecast for the middle of the week.
