Old Lyme Police and Youth Car Wash Fundraiser Wednesday

Operation LOL's Youth and Police program's community car wash to benefit Caroline's Miracle Foundation is happening Wednesday at Lyme Street Fire Station from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Old Lyme's Youth & Police group, Operation LOL, was planning to hold a Community Car Wash at Old Lyme Fire Station Lyme Street in Old Lyme on June 11 but, because of the weather, the fundraiser was postponed.

The new date and time is Wednesday, June 12, from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. This community service event culminates the Operation LOL 2012-2013. This is a Youth & Police program that brings local police officers together with youth from Lyme and Old Lyme for monthly activities. The program has been sponsored by the State of Connecticut Office of Policy Management's Juvenile Justice Division.

All proceeds from the car wash will go directly to Caroline's Miracle Foundation (http://www.carolinesmiraclefoundation.org/). We'll let you know when and where it will be happening as soon as the event is rescheduled.
