Two subjects were involved in a verbal altercation at "Lymewoods Community Center" in Old Lyme, according to the police report. Neither party was identified. Both were charged with an infraction for creating a public disturbance.

Jennifer Pena, 24, of 282 Middletown Avenue, Wethersfield, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, evading, and risk of injury to a minor child. According to the police report, she was traveling on Portland Avenue in Old Lyme and attempted to turn around by backing into a private driveway, at which point she allegedly hit a chain link fence and bent a fence pole and bar, then left the scene and stopped in a private driveway two houses down.

According to the police report, the driver said, "It was just a little bump. I have plenty of money. I can pay for it." The accused was arrested after allegedly failing the field sobriety test and because she had her two year old daughter and two other minor children with her in the vehicle, she was also charged with risk of injury to a child.
