Police Plan Training Exercise In Vacant Niantic House

The session will run for approximately six hours, according to police.

EAST LYME, CT — A regional police special response team will be conducting a training session in a vacant house in Niantic on Wednesday.

The session will run April 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at vacant property at 226 Flanders Rd., Niantic, police said on Facebook.

The site is next door to Monaco Ford of Niantic.

Police plan to post “Training In Progress” signs along the road along with multiple police vehicles.

The exercise is not expected to cause traffic disruptions on Flanders Road, or any disruptions to businesses in the vicinity, according to police.
