East Lyme Police Department and State Police are searching for a suspect who robbed the Mobile Station at 262 Flanders Road in East Lyme. The police report came in shortly after 4 pm on Friday. East Lyme High School was placed on temporary lockdown as a precautionary measure.
Police are processing the scene now and are using a K9 Unit to search for the suspect. The initial police report stated that a man displayed a handgun and robbed the store, making off with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.
The initial description of the suspect is of a white man, heavyset, about 5 foot 7 inches tall. Police are still processing the scene.
