Mazzella's SUV apparently plowed through the concrete wall of a highway overpass and crashed, overturned and caught fire. According to Windsor Police Capt. Tom LePore, the crash is currently under investigation, and the local department is working with a regional accident-reconstruction team to figure out what happened before Mazzella's Jeep left the overpass.
LePore said officials are able to tell that Mazzella exited I-91 from the northbound HOV lane, but his vehicle did not stop as it approached the Bloomfield Avenue intersection.
