EAST LYME, CT — An accident reported Tuesday morning resulted in serious injuries and a 4-mile backup in East Lyme.The crash has closed down the I-95 northbound ramp to I-395 northbound. The crash was reported at 6:26 a.m., according to the <a href="https://ctroads.org/list/events/traffic?start=0&amp;length=25&amp;order%5Bi%5D=1&amp;order%5Bdir%5D=asc" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">state Department of Transportation</a>. The accident involved a motorcycle and a tractor trailer and involved serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to <a href="https://www.wfsb.com/2025/05/27/crash-closes-i-95-north-ramp-i-395-east-lyme/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">WFSB 3-TV</a>. The northbound side of I-95 was congested between exits 72 and 76, a 4.6-mile stretch, the DOT said.
