Conservation Corps Urges Caution on Trails

As you might imagine, trails on Tolland’s open space parcels suffered extensive damage from the recent storm. While the trails will remain open, we urge you to use extreme caution if you venture out on any of the trail systems. Fallen trees, leaning trees and branches, debris hanging or stuck overhead, pose considerable danger while hiking. Please hike carefully and watch for these potential problems. Try to avoid hiking on windy days or should we receive a heavy wet snowfall over the next few months. The Conservation Corps will start the clean-up this Saturday, November 19th but we anticipate it may take 8-12 weeks to safely clean all of the trail systems.
