Quarry Blast Notification March 2012

From the Town of Tolland:

This notice is to inform residents the Fire Marshal has issued a permit to MD Drilling and Blasting for blasting at the Burgundy Hill Quarry off Old Post Road. One blast may be sufficient for the needs of the customer.  It is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday March 21, 2012 sometime between 10:00am and 2:00pm. Another notice will follow when more information is available.

The Blast Plan has been approved by the Fire Marshal.  It meets all Federal, State, and Local Regulations.  Seismographic monitoring will be in place and the shot has been designed to be less than ½ the allowable limit for ground vibration.
