Senior Moments Offers Community Lectures

From Senior Moments:

 is a new adult day center located at 31 Kingswood Ave. in Tolland, CT. One of the goals of Senior Moments is to provide a lecture series on topics that are of interest to people in our community. 

On Tuesday, May 1^st, Dr. Harry Morgan, a well-known geriatric Psychiatrist, presented a discussion on dementia at Senior Moments. Over 40 people attended the session. Dr. Morgan shared his knowledge  regarding the different types of dementia and approaches that he has found to be effective in supporting people who have been diagnosed with the illness. 

The following Tuesday, May 8^th, Attorney’s Robin Murdock-Meggers and Tom Robinson (experts in Elder Law), shared their knowledge of the importance of having and updating legal documents as well as the importance of protecting assets. They explained the role of conservator, power of attorney, and health care representative. They also explained the difference between a revocable trust and an irrevocable trust. The program was well attended.
