Tolland Fire Department Cautions Residents about Questionable Telephone Solicitations

The Tolland Fire Department has received several reports that questionable telephone calls are being placed to Tolland residents soliciting funds for firefighters.

The Tolland Fire Department has not authorized anyone to make such calls on its behalf, and is not attempting to raise funds this manner. 

Residents who receive a call asking for money to support firefighters should question the caller carefully about the exact name and address of the organization soliciting the funds. Residents should not give out any personal financial data to anyone over the telephone.
